A fine quality Victorian coromandel jewellery box, the well chosen veneers highlighted with attractive greek key brass inlays. The top has a central shield shaped vacant brass cartouche above a swag, the front with matching escutcheon.

The box opens to reveal the original interior which has been re-lined in a luxurious deep blue silk velvet. The lift-out tray reveals a further storage area beneath.

To the rear of the box a brass button releases the spring-loaded front drawer which has also been re-lined.
