A stunning Georgian flame mahogany table / work box, the finely figured veneers a lovely rich colour, all edges banded in ebony. Standing on wonderful gilt brass paw feet with gilt brass lions head carry handles to the sides.

The box opens to reveal the original mahogany fitted interior, the lift-out tray fitted with various compartments, lift-off lids and a removeable pin cushion. One of the central dividers lifts to release a concealed spring-loaded secret drawer. The lid retains it's original velvet lining.

The box has been cleaned and professionally French polished and is in showroom condition.

With working lock & tassled key.
