A fine quality large Victorian burr walnut jewellery box, the finely figured burr walnut veneers banded in ebony and highlighted with graduated brass line inlays. The top has a central engraved brass cartouche.

The box opens to reveal the original fitted interior, re-lined in a purple cotton moire fabric and complimentary purple silk velvet. The lid and fall-front release the swing arm drawers which reveal two further storage areas beneath. To the rear of the box a brass button releases the front drawer.

With working lock & tassled key.
