A fine quality Victorian coromandel jewellery box with well chosen veneers throughout. The domed top has a central vacant brass cartouche and the front a matching keyhole escutcheon.

The box opens to reveal the original mahogany interior, re-lined in a luxurious deep red silk velvet. The lift-out tray reveals a further storage area beneath. To the rear of the box a brass button releases the front drawer which has also been relined.

With working lock & tassled key.
