A fine quality Victorian burr walnut jewellery box, the top inlaid with a central brass cartouche dated 1872 and surrounded with mother of pearl and abalone shell inlays, the front with matching keyhole escutcheon.

The box has been re-lined in a plush deep red velvet, the lift-out tray revealing a further storage area beneath.

With working lock & tassled key.
