A good late 19th century Sorrento ware jewellery box, the shaped box profusely inlaid with tunbridgeware style inlays, the top inset with a marquetry panel depicting a dancing couple.

The box has been re-lined in a luxurious deep red silk velvet, the lid containing further inlays and a central olivewood panel.

The tassled key is for display only as the keyhole is too small for modern key blanks to fit.
