Superb Victorian walnut & inlaid jewellery box.

A fantastic Victorian walnut jewellery box, the top and front profusely inlaid with marquetry inlaid burr walnut rectangular panels with abalone shell borders seperated by further inlaid marquetry squares, the corners with inlaid mother of pearl squares. The top has a matching central mother of pearl engraved cartouche, the front with matching keyhole escutcheon. The edges crossbanded in tulipwood.

The box opens to reveal a fully fitted interior re-lined in a plush deep red velvet, the lift-out tray revealing a further storage area beneath. 

With fully working lock & tassled key.
