A very good quality burr wood Victorian glove or jewellery / trinket box, the top with a brass & white metal central cartouche engraved 'gloves', With twin banding in coromandel and brass, the edges with further brass inlay.

The box has been re-lined in a plush silk velvet. The lock appears to be working but as often on these boxes it is held in by pins rather than screws so to avoid damage removing it the key is for display purposes only.
