A fine quality and large early Victorian coromandel jewellery box, the edges banded in brass with additional fine brass line stringing to the top and front. The top has a central engraved brass cartouche.

The box opens to reveal a fully fitted interior line in purple silk velvet and matching silk moire. There are two drawers which are revealed when the fall front drops. The interior handles, hinges and lock are all engraved and silver-plated.

With fully working Bramah lock & key.
