A good quality Victorian burr walnut jewellery box, the lid with engraved shield-shaped mother of pearl cartouche, the front with matching keyhole escutcheon.

The box has been re-lined in a vibrant red plush velvet. To the rear of the box a brass button releases the front drawer which has also been re-lined.
