Regency satinwood and mahogany jewellery box.

A good early Regency period satinwood jewellery box standing on brass paw feet with brass handles moulded as baskets of fruit. The lid with various inlay bandings of satinwood, mahogany, ebony and boxwood and a central panel of plum pidding mahogany. The front, back and sides veneeredcin satinwood with ebony string inlays.

The box opens to reveal a plush vibrant red velvet lined interior, a brass pin to the front of the box releases the lower drawer also finished in red velvet. With further inlays to the edges of the lid and base.

With fully working lock and key.
