Antique rosewood jewellery box by Thomas of Piccadilly.

A good quality Georgian rosewood jewellery box by Thomas of Burlington arcade, Picadilly, London.

The brass bound and inlaid case with a vacant brass cartouche to the lid and corresponding escutcheon. The sides have flush  fitting military style handles as does the front drawer.

The lid opens to reveal a plush rich red velvet lined mahogany interior, the lift out lid fitted with various compartments removes to reveal a further velvet lined storage area. 

The bottom drawer locks via a brass pin to the front of the box and is similarly lined in velvet.

The inside of the mahogany lid retains the original trade label of the manufacturer.
