Antique jewellery box by B B Wells, Strand, London. The coromandel veneered case with brass banding and stringing. The dome toped lid with inset brass cartouche.

The lid opens to reveal a maroon moroccan leather and velvet lined interior, the sectioned lift-out tray revealing a further storage area beneath. A brass button to the rear releases the front drawer which is also lined to match.

Fully working Bramah patent lock and tassled key.
