Fine antique rosewood jewellery / sewing box by G C Diller London

A very rare, unusually large and fine quality Georgian rosewood and brass inlaid jewellery / dressing / sewing box by G C Diller, Covent Garden, London.

The rosewood top with intricate brass inlay and central cartouche, the front with line inlay and the sides with flush fitting brass carry handles. The whole banded in brass.

The lid opens to reveal the completely original green moire silk lined interior with lift out tray divided into various compartments, some with covers with large storage area beneath. 

Behind the original smocked lid lining is a stationery wallet containing the malkers label.

In overall excellent condition with a few slight marks to the exterior and some light fading and small old taped repairs to the interior.

With several original tools including mother of pearl tape measure.

Original lock stamped GR patent (No key as this would require damaging the silk)
