Antique coromandel dressing box.

Antique coromandel dressing box  with brass banding, line inlay and engraved cartouche matching the engraved silver contents.

The interior is lined with dark green silk velvet and black Moroccan leather. The lift out tray with silver plate handles can be removed to reveal a large storage area beneath. The inside lid drops down to reveal a stationery pouch and original leather backed easel mirror.

Full complement of silver hallmarked for Frances Douglas, London. 1838/9

Tray components all in good order, shaving brush detached from silver but present. Two of the scent bottles have damage to the screw tops and one is cracked.

With fully working Bramah patent lock and tassled key.
