Antique rosewood jewellery box by Edwards.

Antique rosewood jewellery box  with brass banding, line inlay and shield cartouche by Edwards, 21 King Street, Bloomsbury. Manufacturer to Her Majesty.

The interior is lined with dark blue silk velvet, blue moire silk fabric and blue Moroccan leather. The lift out top tray with engraved silver plate handles can be removed to reveal another lift out tray beneath. This in turn pulls out to reveal a storage section beneath with two small drawers. The inside lid is removed with a hidden button to reveal a mirror and seperate stationery wallet with open out writing surface bearing the makers label. 

With fully working Bramah lock and tassled key.
