A very unusual Edwardian mahogany jewellery or trinket box of sarcophagus form, with two decorative brass handles to the sides and a carved decorative cartouche to the centre of the lid.

The box opens to reveal the original interior with original velvet, the lift out tray revealing a further storage area beneath.
